Patrick Ely

Patrick R. Ely is President and CEO of Jowers & Company, Inc., the leading authority in common area cleaning for Atlanta’s condominium and loft communities. Jowers & Company offers cleaning services and solutions that help provide clean living environments for thousands of residents throughout the Downtown, Midtown and Buckhead area. For the fiscal year ending in 2007, Jowers & Company's revenue was $3.1 million and employs more than 80 people.

On July 15, 2002, former owner Kenny Jowers, announced that effective September 1, 2002 Ely will transition out of a day-to-day role in the company to serve as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Born on April 9, 1968, Ely grew up in Marietta, GA. Ely attended public elementary school and later graduated from Kennesaw State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing in 1995. Before attending classes at KSU, Ely served honorably, faithfully and proudly in both the United States Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy achieving two Honorable Discharges and receiving numerous meritorious service awards. Ely served his country in both military branches while working in a small detachment ops unit that specialized in both law enforcement and drug interdiction. While patrolling the waters off the coast of the Caribbean, Ely was recognized for participating in a drug case yielding over $3.67 million in confiscated illegal drugs.

Under Ely's leadership, Jowers & Company's mission has been to continually advance and improve value-added services and to make it easier and more cost-effective for his customers to handle day to day business.  The company is committed to a long-term view, reflected in its investment of Jowers & Company's number one resource: People.

Ely has donated and contributed to being an active member of the Boy Scouts of America. The BSA, an institution and organization that promotes youth being good stewards of the community and the world is a group Ely loves to work with.  Ely is also a member of Atlanta’s Chapter of Community Association Institute and in 2005 awarded the Bronze Sponsorship status. Ely also supports the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and is a contributor to the Latin American Association. He also serves as the PPHOA President in his neighborhood. 

Ely was married on September 13, 1997 to Misty L. Ely. They have two children and one dog.  Ely is an avid boater, and enjoys fishing and camping. 

Shawn Dunbar

Before Shawn Dunbar became Operations Manager of Jowers & Company, Inc. in 2001, he labored behind the scenes to make sure the company’s expansion dreams became a reality.

Mr. Dunbar has also played an integral part in day to day interactions by meeting with Board of Directors and Home Owner Association for over 250 condominium and loft communities throughout the metropolitan area = ensuring clean living environments for all residents. 

All of Mr. Dunbar’s hard work and attention to detail has helped transform Jowers & Company from a small-time operation into a reputable well-known cleaning authority in the Atlanta community. 

“Indeed, without Mr. Dunbar’s leadership and accomplishments, Jowers & Company would not be what it is today,” said owner, Pat Ely.

Over the past five years Mr. Dunbar is responsible for producing employees that are smarter and better skilled than ever. Over the past five years, Mr. Dunbar has accomplished expanding the Jowers & Company work force from 35 employees to over 80. Dunbar’s master plan calls for adding another 20 employees in the next three years.
